Stories, places, and flavours from our most recent travels
Sri Lanka – Abundance
Our journey through Sri Lanka was a whirlwind of lush landscapes, winding roads, and endless plates of rice and curry — but what truly blew us away was how deeply food and daily life are connected. We ate string hoppers at sunrise in misty hill towns, shared spicy kottu roti on noisy street corners, and were invited into family kitchens where sambol was mixed by hand and coconut was grated with love. From the iconic fish curry simmered in clay pots to the fiery pol sambol that woke up every meal — Sri Lankan cuisine isn’t just delicious, it’s emotional. Every dish told a story. Every bite felt like home, even though we were far from ours. This part of our blog is dedicated to those moments: the flavours, people, and places that turned every meal into a memory.
Our journey through Tunisia led us deep into the flavours of North Africa, where everyday dishes carry centuries of tradition. From bustling markets to small local kitchens, we discovered food that is simple, bold, and deeply rooted in place.
